I am a child of the 50’s; a teen of the 60’s; and a student of the 80’s — a time when there were quite a few “self-help” courses and seminars and the word “transformation” was reinvented. Below are just a few recommendations:

Life Reimagined
WHAT: Although this AARP program has been retired, it focused participants being ready for their next Chapter? Life Reimagined offered tools, activities and support to help people discover what really matters to them.
WHERE: Developed by Richard Leider, his books and tools can be purchased online.
ME: In 2014, I was trained to be a Life Reimagined Guide, leading a 2-hour workshop, called a Checkup. Through this interactive session, hundreds of people started thinking about what might be next in their lives.

life. I can choose
WHAT: You never want to say, “I wish I had known.” I wrote this book to let others know that sometimes, suicide can be prevented and that with a caring heart and listening ears, one person can greatly impact the life of another.
WHERE: Order on Amazon.
WHEN: 2010
ME: It took me a while to recover, and then to get it on paper, but in all that time, I was compelled to let others know about my experience.

Academy for Coaching Excellence
WHAT: ACE leads the coaching field, offering exceptional coach training courses for business coaches, life coaches, and executive coaches.
WHERE: Home-based in Sacramento, California, courses are held in several states and countries.
WHEN: ACE Calendar
ME: I have taken several of these courses, with great benefit. ACE founder, Maria Nemeth is full of insight, skill and experience as she focuses on having participants discover how to live with clarity, focus, ease, and grace.

Landmark Education
WHAT: A fundamental principle of Landmark’s work is that people — and the communities, organizations, and institutions with which they are engaged — have the possibility not only of success, but also of fulfillment and greatness. The ideas, insights, and distinctions on which Landmark’s programs are based make Landmark a leader and innovator in the field of training and development.
WHERE & WHEN: Dates & Locations
ME: This was the beginning. In 1981, I participated in Landmark’s first program, then called est. That experience was the blueprint for the person I am today. Since that time, I have stayed involved, attending events, participating in seminars, volunteering to assist, supporting charitable initiatives, and relishing in lifelong friendships with people I love.

Conscious Creation of a Life You Love
WHAT: Quite a few individuals are public champions of the great concepts offered in courses and programs.
WHERE: A virtual community of extraordinary people breaking the rules and becoming conscious creators of their own lives.
ME: I “met” Leah Marjorie Cox online as I was building this blog and found an individual with similar goals. Within moments of discovering her work, she sent me an encouraging email.
